Demonstration of Access Options for the Computer
Mr. Paul Eklund, NC Assistive Technology Program
About The Session:
This session will focus on access options for individuals who have difficulty with using a computer. Whether in outpatient clinic, or community, settings, there are many opportunities to evaluate, recommend, and train individuals with disabilities for improved access, or improved efficiency, through alternative hardware and software options, as well as changes within the Operating System. Additionally, demonstration of these access options for the computer will be performed.
About The Presenter(s):
Mr. Paul Eklund, ATP:
is employed with the North Carolina Assistive Technology Program, and manages the AT Center at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem. He has been with NCATP for over 8 years, and part of the WFBH collaborative team since 2008. He is certified as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) through the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America. Paul graduated from NC State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and he has extensive rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology knowledge and experience.
