FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH 11:00 TO 12:30 EXPO CENTER
Of Course I Can Change…But You Go First!
Ms. Beth Hollars, Founder/Owner Beth Hollars' Consulting
About The Session:
New laws, regulations, and policies…..OH MY! The challenges of change and collaboration are a part of our world-each and every one of us. How do we respond? How do we handle the related stress? How do we keep our wits about us? Responding to today’s challenging work world requires us to change and change quickly, while continuing to laugh, smile and smell the roses along the way. Let’s close our learning experience with an enlightening and uplifting time with an energetic and fun speaker. She’s a Southern girl at heart so all that humor of the lower part of this great nation will keep you entertained and looking at yourself. Take away some strategies, some ideas, and some thoughts for the future as we head back to the real world. Of course I can change, but YOU go first!
About The Presenter(s):
Beth Hollars:
is a Southern born and bred presenter, speaker, consultant and trainer. Her early career was teaching English, Journalism and NC History at the 8th/9th grade level for nine years, earning both local and statewide recognition. Beth moved on to work for the NC Department of Public Instruction as a Staff Development and Personnel Services Regional Consultant and Trainer until legislative restructuring eliminated the job. Rather than end up in the soup line, Beth opened her own leadership and skills-based training company, Beth Hollars’ Consulting.
Beth went on to work as an Apprenticeship Coordinator for M B Kahn Construction, and then moved into the position of Director of Continuing Education at Gaston College in Dallas, NC, where she remained until her recent retirement. In her position at Gaston College, Beth served on numerous boards, workforce development committees, senior citizen needs committees and other community organizations, working closely with them to devise certificates that met their training needs and goals. Beth has continued to offering her consulting services in training and leadership to businesses, education personnel, and non-profits, and has trained nearly 10,000 professionals from all walks of life inside and outside of North Carolina. Her humor and her realistic slant on life, work styles, personalities and why people act as they do, will delight you and keep you laughing at yourself.
Beth and her husband, David, live in Belmont and are raising their precious 5 year old granddaughter.
