He will also share some of the issues he has experienced in accessing the assistive technology so critical to his daily life function.
About The Presenter(s):
Royce Cowan:
now 33, has a college degree in Health and Wellness Promotion from UNC-Asheville. His special interests include writing, photography and outdoor sports. After his diagnosis, Royce became a father to daughter, Lily, started a blog about living with ALS, and continued to be as active as possible in the outdoor adventures he loves, transitioning to adaptive sports and equipment as his disease progressed. Though his disease has progressed to the point that he had to enter a skilled nursing facility this year, assistive technology allows Royce to continue to exercise his talent and creativity in writing, photography, video, and educating and inspiring others by sharing his experience.
